Picture a Day 4: Flora on the Haw River Trail

The most amazing time of my trip was spending a week with my half brother in the house he built near Chapel Hill, North Carolina. We basically just hung out and talked, and talked and then one day walked when he took me for an afternoon trip down to the Haw River and we walked and talked along a winding trail along and up and down along the tangled north bank.

I took a lot of pictures along the way and this one of some fungus is one of my favourites.

And this one gives you a good idea of the clarity of the day and the intense green that was all around. It was clear and hot and I had not really been in the country for years. It was wonderful and healing and a perfect time to reflect. I let my brother lead the way.

Thanks, bro.

This series of pictures are great Patrick. You take a nice snap!! Dawn made a 3 volume hand sized book last year...a picture a day...fascinating variety.
Keep 'em coming

Beautiful, P! Makes me want to get out and exercise my new macro and tripod.
